"When the inner conflict ends, peace begins" - This Chinese proverb is most befitting of the internal battle depicted in director Jay Parpworth's Mortal Kombat inspired promo for Political Peak's trippie 'One Step.' The South London rapper and longtime Sneakbo collaborator delivers a tension building performance while trapped inside the dark neon-lit, futuristic dreamscape of his debut music video. 

 

Lost in the forgotten realm of his shadowy inner thoughts, Peak is both hero and villain embroiled in a dangerous, mind-bending battle to uncover the elusive truth behind the "Mixed messages messing with [his] head". In a dreamy world of spells, eerie mist, and fluid camera movements, Peak faces off against an unknown, equally skillful enemy controlled by a mysterious and beautiful as she is dangerous, Goddess-like Siren (played by Khanittha Lawson). It is her mischievous dark power that controls them both. Battling to a near-death finish, our hero finally learns that the fight to make meaningful choices and mature decisions is where this battle is won, but is it too late?
